How do you go about changes to your forum?

When it comes to changing the theme or look of your forum, how do you go about doing this in a way that doesn't put off current members?

I am considering changing the style and look of my forum to refresh it but I don't want my current members to get upset about it and leave.

The problem change theme must be the result of the pool of which theme to change because people could may leave community for sudden changes or even theme looks good for you only.

If you have more than one theme which you want to choose from, you can present it to your forum members and allow them vote on it. After they have voted, you'll have the one they choose applied. There will not be any kind of backlash from them.

I have not made any changes to the look of my forums ever since I launched my forums publicly. I am not a person who makes changes to my appearance too frequently. I mainly focus on two areas, one, my forums need to be easy to navigate and my forums need to load fast.

This is not something that I do frequently on my forum because most of the time, it doesn't get well accepted by the forum members. I haven't made any changes to my forum in the last 7 years and I don't think there's any need for me to change anything for now.
