How do you get started?

I've noticed that there are many people starting up small web hosts. I've been wondering about how one gets started with it. Do people usually start with reseller accounts or what?

Reseller accounts are pretty easy to get and aren't that expensive, assuming you're not doing green hosting. However, though, as a side note, the business is highly saturated so unless you have money, it can be tough to overcome competition. Also, you have to be careful about allocating resources. For instance, don't promise unlimited bandwidth to free customers - unless they can really afford it.

I think most of the people who start a small web hosting business are usually with reseller hosting. I really doubt that they can afford to set up their own data centers and maintain their data centers. I also have plans to start a small reseller hosting as well as domain reseller business
