How do you get members on your forum?

Advertising can be a good way however i think that offering rewards to people is the best way to bring them in and then you offer them a referral reward as well.

The ones I got so far are from a promotion forum. However, no offense to those guys, they are good members, but I need drummers, lol. A big problem is dragging in the drummers, but I have good learning material that might do it.

I think that a good place for you to try and promote your forum is using youtube. if you make comments on the videos that are speaking about drum covers and lessons then it may help you.

When I start I invite my online friends to post. When I have some topics on the forum, I buy posting packages on various webmaster forums. These packages will not only get members but also activities. I also regularly involve with post-exchange to get members and activities.

When I first open up a new forum, I tend to let family and friends know about the new forum first, especially those who I know would be active on the forum.

After that, I tend to advertise on other forums such as promotion forums and other forums that allow you to advertise within either your signature, profile or in a dedicated forum.

I find this along with working on SEO works well in getting my forum out there.
