Forums need members, without members, forums cannot succeed. That's because members build activities by creating posts as well as bringing traffic by visiting forums regularly. However, the main question is how do you build members on your forums, especially on forums that are not paying for posting activities?

Building a vibrant and engaged community of members on a forum can be a challenge, particularly when the forum does not offer monetary incentives for posting activities.

🌟You can create an inviting and user-friendly forum interface and ensure that your forum is visually appealing, easy to navigate, and mobile-friendly.

🌟A clean and intuitive design encourages visitors to explore and participate.

🌟Additionally, make sure the registration and login process is seamless and hassle-free.

By providing quality content and a place theyr will enjoy. Muchike how Bizdustry does with their forum.

You could also work with other forums to promote and maybe bring in members from said other forum.

Offering incentives is definitely one of the greatest ways to get members to stay on the forum. However, I have always been with Bizdustry regardless of whether or not I am being paid for that.

Building a successful forum is a challenge, but here's how I've done it:
  1. I prioritize creating quality content that sparks discussion.
  2. I use social media and other online platforms for promotion.
  3. I optimize the forum for search engines to draw organic traffic.
  4. I work to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members.
  5. I host regular events to keep members engaged and attract new ones.
Patience and consistent effort are key to creating a vibrant forum community.

Are you talking from your personal experience or just providing information gathered on Google. I have discovered that a lot of people do not have any experience but they tend to give advice on almost all topics.

I think that promoting your forum on social media is also one of the best things that you could do in order to make sure that more and more people pay attention to your forum. The design of the forum also matters a lot if you ask me. Having a professionally looking forum is a good thing.

Firstly you must provide content for members to want to respond to, or perhaps to create content themselves. You can't just open a forum with 0 threads and expect people to join unfortunately. I would recommend doing some post exchanges/post packages to fill up some of your areas.

Next you should provide something unique that other forums in your niche does not provide. Opening with a contest will help sometimes, depending on what the contest involves and what the reward is.

To continue gaining members a few months in is hopefully word of mouth. Reward your members for sharing your forum with others.

I would also think working on SEO and building your promotion threads around communities would also be important. The biggest thing is to get your forum name seen around the foruming world.

Define your forum's niche and target audience: Determine the specific topic or niche that your forum will focus on. This will help you attract like-minded individuals who are interested in that particular subject matter.

It's very hard to do that, especially if your forum is completely new. You may even need to hire posters since very few want to join such an inactive forum. You can do YouTube videos about your forum and promote it on social media to attract people.

This is actually the reason why most people who started new forum try to run a contest that is going to have them to get more activities on their forums. They do so wish in the end and hope that some people who took part in the contest will stay active on the forum.

Well contest can help but the members and activities will die once you stop running contest. If you want to keep it up, you also need to run contests every month. I have seen this on multiple forums.
