The fact that you realize you have an addiction is the first step to overcoming it. First of all try to point out what situations trigger you to gamble, then you can determine ways in which will avoid them.

Secondly, have a budget for your money. Gambling is not bad in itself, it is the addiction to it that is bad. So you can set aside a reasonable amount of money every month for gambling, as long as you know it is what you can afford to lose.

Keep yourself busy with different activities.

It takes a vety long time for someone to realise how much addicted he has become to gambling. After realising such, try to find out the reason behind it and prefer better solutions that will prevent you from going back.

The best way to overcome addiction is to simply get another addiction. Find something else to do that is profitable and productive that can be used to replace your gambling addiction. This is the best and quickest way to overcome your gambling addiction.

To overcome an addiction, especially one like Gambling. Then there would be a lot of work to be done. First, Plan ahead to avoid boredom. And also ensure you save and lock your cash maybe with someone you can be accountable to.

If you are gambling addicted all that you need to do is go for counseling and decipline yourself to stop it without decipline you won't be able to stop gambling note you won't be able to stop it completely but it's going to be a gradual process

Overcoming an addiction can be challenging, but with the right approach and support, it is possible. Acknowledge the problem, seek professional help, take control of your finances, avoid triggers and temptations, stay committed and patient, develop a relapse prevention plan.

The only way I think someone can be able to manage his or her gambling addiction is by cutting off anything that is going to remind you of gambling and also cutting of friends whom you are gambling with because that is the only way you will resist the temptation of going back into it.

If you want to stop your gambling addiction, just stop gambling. This is as simple as that. However, a lot of people cannot quit all at once. If you are engaged in other activities mostly related to entertainment, such as gaming, watching movies, etc. you might be able to control your addiction.

Stopping a gambling addiction is never easy and because of that, it takes for the person with the addiction to acknowledge that they have a gambling problem and want to get help.

I feel if you try and reason with someone who you know has a gambling issue and they are in denial, it can be like talking to a brick wall. It hurts and it is upsetting to know that they can not see what you see but sometimes, you have to leave them to realize just how much of a mess they are in for them to finally gain the help they need and just be there for them when they need it.

It is usually very difficult to quit gambling especially if you are addicted to them. But my advice to people is to reduce the number of times you frequently go to the game hall or if possible stop going there..
