It is currently messing up a lot of businesses in my country. The government decision to increase tax for consumer goods and also removal of petroleum subsidy has made it difficult for businesses that want to thrive in the country.

Any kind of policies that the government of a country is embarking on carrying out is always going to affect businesses either positively or negatively which is why it is always asked of the government to embark on policies that are going to help businesses in such a way they can function effectively without having to suffer so much.

In the fiscal policy, the government announces new custom duty tax, new income tax, etc. Things like these will affect the market price. When the government increases customs duty, the imported products will go high. When custom duty for raw materials is increased, even the locally produced items will become expensive. However, when the government cuts taxes, the price tends to be on the cheaper side.
