When you want to use wordpress, you have two choices, one free wordpress site, two premium wordpress site. When you choose free, you will have to use subdomain. However, premium wordpress service allows you to use a custom domain. There are three price options for wordpress premium site. My question is has anyone tried wordpress premium service and launched their site with wordpress? I want to know advantages and disadvantages.

Yes, I'm using WordPress as my content management system and the experience have been good so far. WordPress doesn't need to be used with coding or programming languages. You just need to install WordPress in your cpanel and install some plugins so as to set up some designs on the website.

I think it's an efficient hosting platform. They offer a wide range of services and your data is as secured as it can get with a premium service. The only downside is that it is quite pricy for a new blog and you are not sure if you will generate enough traffic to pay.

Hosting with wordpress is very costly. If you want a personal website, you will have to pay $4 per month. This basic plaan has a lot of limitation, for example, you cannot monetize your site and cannot integrate google analytics. However, they will give you a domain for free for the first year. In one year you will spend $48 to host a personal website. However, if you go with other hosting, namecheap for example, you can get a dot com for $13 and shared hosting for $19. If you think you cannot handle the technical issues related with hosting, you can switch to managed wordpress hosting on other hosting platforms (on namecheap wordpress managed hosting is $3.88)
That's absurd , the spendings are nowhere near 48$ for a personal website , in fact wordpress doesn't make personal websites"" it makes CMS that can be manipulated for blogs, nothing personal there.
There's a difference between wordpress and namecheap that you haven't mentioned and that is the fact that wordpress is a platform that generates ready to use CMS Websites while namecheap is just a hosting service..
Its counter intuitive to reach for a hosting company to set you up for wordpress since wordpress has its own hosting service and it's way cheaper than you mentioned , not to say that the free plan IS in fact able to be monetized and advertised on your free will.

Don't use free hosting or domain.
If you want to succeed with your website, you need to buy your own domain and hosting.

Define the Main Content. The first and utmost important step before you launch a WordPress site is to know what kind of website you want to start thenPick a Domain Name Choose a Web Hosting Service.

There are certain things you can not do hosting your website with WordPress. Apart from being costly compare to regular hosting that offer $2 per month, the hosting does not come with sub-domain name options. It is more flexible to use regular hosting than that of wrodpress own.

I have used word press to host my website and I can say that word press is very good and highly recommended especially for beginners. They are offer security and great tools you can use to optimize your website. Word press is fairly cheap as well.

That would be lovely to try out. I am new into the world of blogging and I am currently working on having my own personal blog. And someone suggested I start with WordPress because it has free features. I am not too sure about that because I am aware that free service comes with limitations.

Which web host did you pick? I'd love to know your thoughts for your WordPress website,
Namecheap is gonna be for you. There's hardly any options to mess with, but that's the beauty of it if you don't wanna worry about things. Just keep in mind that extra added cost for CodeGuard if you want your website backed up daily.

I have tried worldpress hosting several times and it's a good experience. When you're hosting your blog or website with work press it gives you experience even to develop your with easy. I developed my first blog by myself even without anybody telling with what to do. The environment is self explanatory and user friendly. You can set different plugin and change themes at will.

The question was not about using wordpress content management system. It was about using wordpress as a blogging platform with the premium service. There are two versions of wordpress, one a blogging platform, two content management system. Hosting with wordpress means using premium service from wordpress.com.

Hosting with WordPress through San Fransisco is very sweet. I remember the first time I tried it, everything just went on smoothly even without prior knowledge, it was all self explanatory. I did it without struggle. In less than 30 minutes my domain name started working and began the design. WordPress has made hosting and website design an easy adventure for everyone except you don't want to do something.

I have not tried wordpress hosting, but according to my knowledge it is costly compared to traditional hosting. For example, the basic wordpress hosting starts from $4 per month. They do not give full feature for this price, however, with the same amount if you choose a shared hosting with namecheap or hostgator you can host a lot of websites.

I haven't really tried it myself but am sure there are series of people who have done It.
