Hiring legal help for taxation issues?

A friend of mine has been getting harassed by the state for months now. They are claiming he owes them money but he had already filed and paid his taxes, including his state ones. They keep sending letters though threatening him over it. He is in the process of looking for legal help but isn’t sure where to begin with it. Anyone know?

If your friend have a lawyer, I believe that he should make use of his lawyer and get those that are harassing him sued and charge the case to court. He should make sure that everything is completely finalized and they would have to pay him damages for the harassment.

Taxation laws can be very confusing. I once worked in a company that was fined by the Inland Revenue Department for tax issues. We sent our business lawyer to handle the cases and it was settled in our favor.

It is always going to be in the best interest of your business to always make sure that you pay your taxes whenever they are due or even before they are due because it is going to save you any kind of taxation issues that is going to come up which will require any kind of legal assistance for you to sort it out.
