When it comes to building your own website do you do it yourself or have you ever hired a professional? I know ever since I have been putting my own websites together, I have done all the work myself. I guess I'm a bit of a control freak, but I also want to make sure it gets done right, the way I like it.

For my portfolio website, I did the myself because I'm always updating it. For databases, I've hired web developers and designers to create it.

So far I have been able to do everything on my own. I'm not really doing any super complicated sites though. I like to update my sites all the time, so it's nice to be in control of it.

I've designed almost every site I have except for two which I had a friend do who is a web designer. He did it for nothing so the price was right. I'm like you guys, I am always updating my site, so it's best for me to just do the whole thing. Plus, I really enjoy doing it, I'm creative that way.

I always do it myself. I mean, I typically only use Wordpress, so I can either use my themes or use someone else's theme they've built. I've got it easy ;)

I tend to stay away from projects using php because I'm not very good at it, and I don't have many things I'd like to do with it.

I love designing but I've never gotten the hang of the developing. My brain just doesn't operate like a developer.

I had to hire some people when I started mine because I didn't know how to do some of the things that I needed. Like logos and all that stuff. I want to learn more though so that I'll be able to do it myself.
