Having a movie night on your site

Would it be a good or bad idea to host a movie night on one of my forums or sites? I used to have movie nights on Discord, but I heard that it's risky to air movies on any platform, as there are copyright concerns to consider. So I looked into it, and you can do movie nights, but it can't be any major release that's copyrighted. Which means you can only legally do a movie night if it's a movie in the public domain. Which means that you have to find older movies, ones that no longer have the rights attached to it.

It sounds like a cool idea to organize a movie night. It would be great to experience it with our fellow mates in the forum. Although as you mentioned there might be copyright issues. So, in case it's not there, would be really fun. Never experienced it but would love to one day.
