Considering this, have you integrated social media sharing buttons to encourage visitors to share your content with their friends and followers or even the public who are neither of those?

After using social sharing buttons on my website and web content for many years, I finally removed them. I found that not many people were interested in using these buttons. These days people are interested in sharing their own content, they don't care to share someone's content.

I feel that it's important to have the social media share button or tab feature on your forum. It doesn't matter if most of your members are not using the feature, there's a possibility that someone will be open to using it. It's like how YouTube have the option to share contents from it to other social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
