Have you ever volunteered for a charitable cause?

There are people from different charitable organizations whom I see while coming back from work, so one day, they were showing me a booklet where they had packages like meal for 5 children, books for 5 children etc. I chose one and donated the specified amount (I don't remember how much). That was the only time I had volunteered.

I have volunteered to work in a food shelter twice. It's always a very good feeling helping people out who are in need and you are better than them. I really would have made myself available to help out those who needed it in Ukraine with their war against Russia but unfortunately I'm not anywhere near Ukraine.

Helping people in distress is the best way to show that you truly care about people and humanity in general. It is what people do to help others when they know that they are not going to get anything in return is what that matters so much to me as far as I am concerned.

I have volunteered for charitable causes multiple times. The first time I volunteered, I was a seventh grader. I, along with my school friends and a couple of teachers, went door to door to collect funds for flood victims. We managed to collect some money, which we distributed among people who lost their properties in the flood.

I have donated money and clothes to small charity groups that help people in need. As for working in homeless shelters or a soup kitchen....no. I've never done that.

Exactly! Giving that kind of help doesn't get you anything in return in terms of monetary benefits but the blessings of the lord if you are the type of person that believes in that sort of thing is what you are going to get from helping those who are in serious distress. You might not know the kind of grace that is putting up for you in all the other things that you are doing.

The community I worked with in the past was a non-profit that was intended to help bring people together. I wouldn't say it was charitable in my part, but helping with their festival was a fun experience.

I can remember when we were trying to build our Parish House, I was among the people who volunteered to help out in the building projects until the whole foundation of the house was completely done. Also some of the minor jobs that they would have hired people to do, we did it for free all in support of helping the church.
