Many people believe that plugins are very important for your website and you must install plugins from official sources only. However, have you ever used plugins provided by third-party providers? What are the disadvantages or advantages of using plugins provided by third-party providers? have you ever used them?

Well, when you don't have what you needed from all the stock plugins available for you to make use of, then you don't have any other choice than to make use of third party plugins. I have made use of 3rd party plugins and they are all added to my website to add new features and functionality to my site.

I think a lot of people use third party plugins while building websites, using third party plugins become necessary if you are using open source content management systems. I use wordpress, even though wordpress has its own plugins, you will end up using multiple third party plugins. I have built forums wioth SMF, phpBB and MyBB, and I have used a lot of third party plugins.

Third party plugins are built for a good reason and it's for the fact that in building a website, there's no way you wouldn't have need for them because of what they offer in terms of tools needed for your website building. Developers wouldn't make them if they are not necessary.
