As a forum owner, have you ever taken it upon you to teach someone how to start a forum from the scratch and take it to the stage of running it in a full capacity? What was your reason for deciding to teach someone how to successfully run a forum?

Doing it right now with a friend from that used to work at the call center that I was over the IT department with.
He's disabled and is hoping to be able to get his site going and then monetize it. He is treading on thin ice though because some of the stuff he asks about ends up being stuff that he uses to help people over on the XenForo site... something I advised him I would rather he not do (asking me about issues then using that to help out over there).
