Have you ever pulled out a tooth just to get money from the tooth fairy?

I have a completely different culture and I did not have this in my childhood, but I wonder who had this and really believed in the tooth fairy, or did you pull out a tooth specifically in order to get money? It seems to me that in childhood it was possible to do such a thing because the tooth would grow, but to make sure if the fairy really was

I was raised in a culture where we did not have stories about tooth fairy. Instead of tooth fairy, we had a story of rat taking your tooth in its burrow
