Have you ever met someone who saved their money in places other than a bank?

Banks are so commonly used these days that it's rare to meet anyone who doesn't trust banks enough to save their money in one. They may have their money saved in a personal vault in their house or even in a mattress or even a container. I've heard some of my coworkers mention that their parents saved their money at home rather than in a bank, and I just find it odd. Do you know anyone who doesn't trust banks to save their money, so they end up saving their money at home in a vault? I feel that the silent generation may be the ones who are more willing to save their own money than other generations.

I have met and known people who opt to keep their money saved somewhere else that is not a bank.

Some people tend to not trust banks either because of issues they have had in the past or because of things they have heard. People who tend to save their money away from banks usually have a safe in their home where they keep all their money. It's very rare I hear of someone doing it but it is common I have heard.

Yes, for example I save a little in my house, I have another little invested in some things like cars and other issues and another little I have saved in cryptocurrencies.

I've seen so many people who built a highly secured vaults in their homes where they keep a huge amount of money and some other valuable items.

It's a very common thing for those who are very wealthy. They even keep stash of money at some places in case they want to make a run for some reasons.

I have friends that do save their money online like on wallets and saving apps. but I don't like the idea
