Was there ever a time where you had to negotiate a contract? Maybe it was for a new job you're getting, or you're trying to negotiate a contract for a worker of yours or some deal you're working on with your company and another.

I haven't really negotiated a contract myself before. But I had to sign a contract once for work and I read through it, and signed no problem. Didn't have to negotiate anything as I thought the pay I was getting would suffice.

I have never negotiated a contract to a large extent. There could be certain things in the contract that might be hard for me. Having said that, I may address those specific things and try to negotiate things in the best way possible. Professionalism is important in every scenario.

Indeed, I have had the opportunity to negotiate a contract, but I was not alone in this endeavor; I was part of a negotiating team. It proved to be an intriguing experience from which I gleaned valuable insights. Working alongside the team, I learned a great deal, particularly the importance of maintaining clear thinking even when faced with pressure.
 
From the payment I am supposed to get for my article writing services and web designing services to selling my websites, I always negotiate. Most of the time I end up getting less than my asking rate. Recently, I had to decrease my article writing rate by $5 per article. If you are not open to negotiation, you will miss the chance of making money or getting the contract.
 
I believe that working online even give you the opportunity to negotiate some job contract that you're going to be doing for your client which puts you in a position to talk about the job requirements and also the payment structure that you are expecting to get from completing the job contract.

This is possible on many freelancing websites. You can interact with many people such as employees and freelancers in case if you plan to place a project and hire workers for that. I think platforms like freelancer offers this opportunity. This is important before you could pay the milestone payment and discuss the details about the project in details.

If you're very lucky, you would make good friends online from some of your online freelancing website that will do you a lot of favors. I have made so many good friends who aids me so much in so many ways. They even get me more jobs that pay me well.

I have made a few friends online. You are also one of them. It is great to interact with people regularly and make great friends. People should interact with each other because loneliness is a really big disease. People should never live alone or lonely. We need to socialise as much as possible.

Also you need to consider the level of competition that most freelancers are facing on daily basis when it comes to securing jobs for them to do which is why you have to be open to negotiating the price of your services, otherwise people who are willing to do it will always be getting jobs and you will be stagnant.

Sometimes, when I have enough jobs on my hands, I do not negotiate, I stay with my price for the client to take it or leave it. Sadly, a situation like this one is rare.

We must admit that competition has increased a lot. However, the great thing about freelancing industry is the fact that more and more job opportunities have also been created in the recent years as compared to the past. I remember struggling to find a freelancing job back in the year 2010 and even before that.

I would also say that one of the reason why it is getting worse by the day is because of the massive influx of so many freelancers who are willing to cut down prices of job drastically which makes it very difficult for you to maintain your stand in the jobs that you normally do for your clients. There was a client I used to do a particular job for $75, silly competitors offered to do it at $50. I dropped to $50, they now added extra job to it as bonus to get the job which should normally get the pay for the to $80. It's very frustrating.
