Have you ever crowdfunded to build a site?

Has there ever been a time where you used crowdfunding sites to fund your site build? I have considered it, but never actually attempted to do one. For example, Kickstarts, go fund me, etc.

I have never used crowdfunding to build my website. Most of the crowd funding websites do not operate here. I mean you can donate to someone else's campaigns but cannot create your own campaigns

i have never crowdfunded to build any site, as i do not believe in crowdfunding to build website as one person or more can finance such project easily without asking for external help.

I don't know much about crowdfunding website. So, I have not use it to build any site. However, I have read some positive reviews about the crowdfunding software online. People who make use of it may be enjoying it.
