Have you ever bought an outdated domain and tried to sell it to the original owner?

Has there ever been a time where you purchased an expired domain, and tried to sell it back to the original owner? I've never done this, but I heard of people who do this, and they will often buy the domain, and require payment to get it back to the rightful owner.

I think it's wrong, but has anyone here tried it?

Well it's happened but I personally have not tried it even though am not good at domain business because am not a fan of such and I also.lack the time to run it as expected.

No I haven't done such, I don't see anyone making much from this type of venture. If the owner had let the domain expire, why would such person want to buy it back from someone who purchased it?

Definitely it happens a Friend of mine who is a blogger once bought and outdated domain, and requested for is money and I don't if it is legit

This is unethical but people who do domain flipping as a job go for it. Its always advisable that one renews the domain name registered to avoid such complications.

When someone decides to drop a domain and does not renew domain and you acquire that domain later on why do you think the original would again want to buy that domain?

I bought an outdated domain once and I try reaching the the dealer and I complain about it to the dealer and he was telling me and giving me a lot of issues I felt bad actually and I couldn't even deal with him again he couldn't even accept the domain back and I felt bad

It happened to me last year when I was robbed by some gang of harmed robbers. This affected my business and I was forced to close two of my business outlets because I was short of capital. It's really a sad experience. Closing a business that you have really worked hard for is really a sad experience.

I don't buy outdated domain knowingly. However, once I seem to have purchased outdated domains. I knew about these domains only when I as trying to set up websites for these domains.

Not been in such a situation before and I don't wish to purchase an outdated domain because I'll definitely sell it off and probably it might get to the real owner 😃

It's not something that I think that it's going to realistic in any way because the original owner would definitely know it's something that used to his own.

It is not unethical as domain owners are usually given notice to renew, if they don't do so, the domain name is now going to be available for registration to the public.
