Have you created your own social network with Ning?

Ning is a great way to create a fully interactive social network, that includes forums, member blogs, and even a way to monetize the site. Some years back Ning offered a free, no frills option but now their prices are around $25 a month (basic) and up.

Have you created a social network on Ning? Do you think it would be any better than a forum?

I have never tried ning. I am not interested in social networks really, let alone making one.

This is the first time I hear about ning. But I don't know if this would be a good idea. After all, you can create a forum, which can be way more successfull.
