Have ever been paid in advance?

Being paid in advance is common for freelancers who work online but not so much for those who are working on offices, factories, construction companies, shopping malls and so many more. They are paid by the hour after they've completed the work.

Have you ever been paid upfront when you're doing office job or working for any physical business set ups?

When completing work online, I tend to prefer to be paid upfront to avoid not being paid after I have completed the work, this has been an issue I have run into a few times and it's never easy to deal with.

I also have things in place with regular clients in which they pay after I have completed the work but I know they are trustworthy.

My workplace will never pay you in advance even if you apply for it. It's only when you have worked that you're getting paid for the hours that you've worked.

I get paid in advance for things I sell on eBay as that's how their system works, and I think I've been paid in advance for some freelance work as well, but once I was scammed out of my money when the user did a PayPal chargeback.
