Grumpy old people

Have you met any grumpy old men or women?

What makes them seem unhappy?

I think the older people get the more opinionated they get. Also they're in pain. So yeah, a recipe for grumpiness.

Plus they're living in a world that they're not used to.

People in general do not like change.

Even the younger generations today who are making society changes will not like the changes that occur later when they're older.

Progressiveness eventually wears off.

Lets face it, this world is a bad place, people can not think straight anymore.
I live in Europe, but not long and we emigrate back to Asia.

I'm not sure if the old people part fits anymore as it seems like more and more of every age group is grumpy.
