When you're in the process of selling a house, do you set up an open house for people to see it? I figure it's best to stage a house for a viewing so that you can give an idea of what the house would look like fully furnished. I figure having a fully furnished open house would help it sell better, but if you can't afford it I'm sure you could still sell the house without a stages open house. But what is your preference?

I have not sold a house yet, however, my parents did. They sold the house without any furniture and without any renovation. They sold it on as it is basis. When they put it on sale, they just let people to come and see it.

I wouldn't buy a house which have been fully furnished. Why? It's because the house owner will not furnish the house to my taste. It will be making me pay for what I will change afterwards. If I'm selling a house, I'll not fully furnish it.
