Some of the domains offered by freenom are dot tk, dot ml, dot ga, dot cf, etc. Now, you might ask how is the company doing business if it is offering free domain. Well, they also offer premium domains like dot com, dot net, dot org, etc. If you want a domain for free, you should definitely try freedom.

I do not recommend the Freenom domain name due to bad experience because first thing if you open any site it will be blacklisted to the not trusted website based on simple experience so why not pay a minor fee for the .com domain without passing by them?

Possibly they are making money from premium domains. In other words, it's not a public service, in the true sense. It's like people offering free hosting with the hope a few will do upgrades.

However, I can't be sure of the motive of the companies, honestly.
