Free hosting

Ever used free hosting for your projects before? If so, which hosting service did you pick and why? I think free hosting is fine for those who are just starting out a website, it's a great way to learn how to set things up in cPanel, and you could also start writing a website from scratch if you wish. I've seen some websites be successful with free hosting, but ultimately I think paid hosting is better in the long run. I've used free hosting in the past, so I could better understand how cPanel worked.

Using free hosting in the past was a popular thing. The unexpected closure of the host was what got a lot of people. With hosting being so cheap nowadays, there is no reason why someone would take the risk of free hosting when you can get hosting from a reputable host for around $1/month.

I used WordPress.com once, but I wasn't so serious with the site. That was possibly the reason I found reason to complain, but I've always seen the suggestion of using paid hosting if you want to blog for money.

I have used free hosting to make some test websites. Since I did not incur any fees, I did not have any issues even when the host put ads on my site or caused bandwidth and disk space errors.
