At first I thought the article was originally only talking about audio related forums, but as I continued reading I realized they were talking about quite a few different niches. :V I've visited Bugguide.net in the past. A lot of these forums have been around for decades so it's cool to see they're still booming and quite popular.

It is amazing to see so many forums that are still active even to this day. It is never a case of forums dying but more of a case of finding the ones that are still active.

Social media does give that sense that forums are dying but if you are someone who enjoys forums, you will know that they are not dying, you just have to find them.

I think forums are starting to increase in popularity again. I'm not worried about my forum dying.
