Forum Signatures

Most forums allow you to add signatures. On some forums, this is a free feature, whereas on some forums it is a paid service. You can add your website link in the signature and get a backlink as well as traffic. However, I would like to know what kind of links are forum signatures, are thewy do-follow links or no-follow links? If you allow signatures on your forum, are they do-follow links or no-follow links? I allow forum signatures but I don't know whether they are do follow or no follow.
