Forum Revenue

What do you think the best ways are to generate revenue for a forum? (posted here because this is quite a specific question)

As I reply to this i am thinking most of you are going to think I'm mad, but for me i see foruming as kind of a hobby, I don't mind paying for it and making nothing. I'm not saying I haven't thought of anything to make money. I did once make a little off of clothing that had been made to advertise the site, like shirts, jackets and coffee cups.

but for the most part it is something i enjoy doing in spare time
