Forum Currency

Does your forum have a forum currency? If so, what can members spend their hard-earned cash on? Account upgrades? Services? Trades with other users? Do you feel there will ever be a time where there is too much currency in circulation? How would you deal with such a situation?

I think that forum currency is a good thing if you are spending it on the upgrades or even if you are cashing it out. However the best thing that you can do is make your currency into a crypto as well.

Mine doesn't have forum currency. Anyway, I once had a forum with currency. The currency could be exchanged for writing services for your forum. Anyhow, my site was a business/web promotion/web development forum.

It seems like a good service that you had on the forum with the use of the currency however if people are not able to actually withdraw then it will be much better for morale in the forum as well.

One of my forums uses forum currency. However, the forum currency does not have any value. I do not have a marketplace where the users can use forum currency and I also do not pay for posters, therefore, accumulated form currencies cannot be withdrawan for cash.

I currently run one forum that has its own currency. At the moment we do not use it much but we are planning on adding things to the shop we have and also allowing the currency we have to be used on user upgrades as well.

I love how you can have a currency that allows members to be active, earn and use it for something around the forum.
