Have you ever had to fire a staff member due to the fact that your forum overall activity has dropped and such, you do not need a staff member anymore? If so, why have you done that?

I personally wouldn't let them go as they could be a valuable tool in helping you rebuild the forum to its former glory!

Haze, I completely agree with you on this one. On my board, I encourage the moderators, to promote whether it is busy or if it is dead. If you let go of one because of inactivity. I think you could be putting a nail in the coffin of your forums death that way

If THEY are inactive and not contributing, I would send them a pm asking where the hell are you at. I wouldn't get rid of them though if the forum itself was losing steam and they weren't. They could be vital in bring it back up!
