Favorite web software.

CMS - WordPress
Forum Software - IP.Board

WordPress is great like xpl0iter said and IP.Board has been and always will be my favorite forum software.

CMS - WordPress , a brilliant piece of kit!
Forum Software - Definitely XenForo, after seeing XF in action I swore never to love another software again :p

XenForo is just pleasing both aesthetically and in terms of getting forums discussing more in my opinion.

Yeah, XenForo is definitely really nice.

I have no doubt in my mind that it will overtake vB in the near future.

I'm surprised VB hasn't already sunk to be quite honest. V3 was good but I have seen that since their latest version everything seems to have gone downhill. I've seen loads of people moaning about VB, the emergence of XF definitely doesn't help. Although, I did hear that XF dev's were from VB originally, or something of the sort.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the two of them got fired or something and then decided to start their own software.

They were either fired or quit because they disagreed with things that were going on. I heard the whole story but I just forgot it.

At least I was on the right tracks, haha. Well, props to those guys because they have made a very, very good software.

Then there was that big lawsuit that vb tried to take out against Xenforo.....

I heard that was fake, it was a real case? Wow, hah.

Forum wise... its really hard because I am a vBulletin fan :p and an SMF fan haha...

Blogging software is Wordpress and while others don't consider it as a CMS, as its not, I still use it like one for static website replacement. I am the official city webmaster for the city I live in, I decided that Wordpress was our best option for the official city website... all the town government is happy with my choice :)

I like working with Forums. I also liked working with phpCoin and WHMCS which I think is great

You're a fan of SMF? How come?

Well I used to be, but their development is too slow. I think Wedge, the SMF fork, will be great when it comes out though...
