Favorite Template Engine?

Blade, hands-down especially since they introduced components and the `<x-component-name>` syntax. But I guess that's really because when I'm writing PHP, I'm most of the time working with Laravel.

Although, admittedly, these days (apart from my most recent project which is an exception) I tend to run Vue on the frontend and don't use any PHP template rendering at all.

I'd say twig is also up there but it has been a long time since I used it.

I bounce between Twig and Blade professionally, but I also pair Twig with an extra component - performing/twig-components - to get me half way to the <x-component-name> syntax. Though it's not quite the same as a full Blade component because there's not a backing class in my world for it but I don't *need* one most of the time - the times I'm doing Twig are the times I'm doing WordPress where I glue Twig to it to make my life less awful.
