On what grounds I have to ask?
If its for marketing and promoting, I think oth have their own advantages and disadvantages!

For staying updated with your friends' life, well that depends on your friends. If your friends are on twitter, facebook might not work for you and vice versa!

For personal use I always like Facebook because it is better for contacting and staying in touch. For marketing and promotion I like Twitter more.

On a personal side of things, Facebook is my winner but on a marketing side of things I'd say you have to use both because each network brings it owns benefits to marketing.

i use both, i just post my sites stuff, there isnt even a question for me, i just dont like facebook, but i get traffic from it
