In my research about different ways to make money online, I got to know about buying and selling of internet domain names, and it seems to be a very profitable one.
I learned names like btc.com sold for up to $1,000,000. I really want to go into this business, but it seems all good names that would have fetched money have been registered already.
What do you think?

Have you sold a domain name in the past?

Unfortunately, you cannot sell a domain as easily because there is bid and reserve before expiry means new buyers bid on a domain name once it expires it is going to the higher buyer and see such operations in GoDaddy so this is the price of less bid to enter in bid competition I think.

I sold a premium domain for $100 once. Nonetheless, that's very small to the domain sales I have seen. However, it's tough to get those diamond domains.

In other cases, it's tough to get domains that seem less valuable than what people think but get sold for a lot. A lot of things seem like chance, like playing the lottery.

The biggest issue is safety! You need to ignore recommendations and ‘suggestion’ links, analyse the offered price, and don’t get caught up in endless discussions.

I have sold a site with the domain attached. Made a few grand from it. Was good timing for this as well as it seems the site was losing relevance. I believe it was sold a year after I had sold it for only 25% of what I sold it for.

I just got it websites a hobby. I started with a blog and scaled it up into a forum. Didn't sell my domain or website yet. Will see what the future holds.
