Has there ever been a time where you outright purged a topic because something happened? Maybe the users went off topic and steered the discussion away from what you were supposed to talk about, and maybe it's pages of the same back and forth. Do you ever purge a whole topic instead of individually taking posts out? I have done this in the past, but only when severe arguments go down. What about you?

Users swaying away from the main topic in an online community is a common problem. I have been a member on multiple forums where staff closed the topic or reminded the poster about the discussion moving away from the topic when it went out of hand. However, this has bot happened on ny forums yet.
