Ever had to clear out an old business?

Was there ever a time where you had to clear out an old business? Maybe it was a family business and you had to clear it out after a family death or you closed the place down. I never had to clear out an old business, but I remember one of the video rental places here closed down, and they were looking for people to help clear it out. They sold all of their movies, and closed shop. I remember going in to help tear the place down.

This is something that I've actually done to my own business which I was doing when I was still in college because I had the opportunity to start a perfume and body spray selling business. Unfortunately, it got to a point where I was not meeting my goals in the business, so I had to close it off and sell everything off.

I have cleared a couple of businesses, especially after I suffered losses. I cleared business when the loss was unbearable. My first business was a publishing house, I tried it running for 6 months even when I encountered a loss. However, when it was too much to bear, I cleared out.

There is no point in putting so much effort into a business that is no longer looking viable to be successful. The best thing that you can do for yourself in that kind of situation is to try as much as possible to sell the business if you have someone who's interested to buy it off.
