Ever been stranded somewhere?

Have you ever been stranded somewhere? Like you went hiking one day and all of a sudden you get lost or your car breaks down and you can't get home unless you phone a friend. But lets say your phone is dead. What would you do? I would retrace my steps, try to get back to my vehicle and figure out the next steps.

Anyway, for those who have been stranded, what was it like? How long were you stranded for? Did you spend any days out there all alone waiting for help?

Kind of. One time I was in San Francisco with a friend and we couldn't find my car. Neither of us had a cell phone at the time so we wandered the streets in a panic. We could not find the street the car was parked on. Asked multiple people for directions to Sandy Street (I forgot the name of the street so I' just made up a name for the sake of this conversation). They directed us to Sandy Street but no car, and the street didn't look familiar at all. Apparently Sandy Street is in two separate segments, it ends and there is a bunch of streets in between and then it starts up again a mile away, which doesn't make any sense at all. We felt like we were in the twilight zone or something. Finally after wandering around all day we stumbled on the correct Sandy Street and found the car. What a relief. Also SF is full of hills so my legs were sore for like a week. I was worn out when I got home.

I think it happened about two times to me, I was traveling home and I decided to make a withdrawal which failed and wasn't reversed immediately and I had to call a friend to assist of which he did. But it's really not a good thing to be stranded at all, you won't get yourself

I have been stranded in the middle of no where once when I used to travel by night bus. It was around 2AM when our bus broke down in the middle of nowhere. There was no mechanic to even know what happened. All of us just went in the bus and locked up the doors. We prayed that no armed robbers attacked us.

I have been stranded in a new city with no money in my pockets. That was a long time ago but the memory still haunts me
