Has there ever been a time where you had to change your domain? Maybe it was someone attempting to sue for a similar name, or you no longer liked the name. Have you ever been forced to change your domain? If so, why?

Even though I'm a domainer, I have not been forced to change my domain name. However, I have seen people who have been denied to purchase some domain just like the Covid 19 experience Domain

If domain name you purchase is copyrighted means the company is copyrighting the domain it is not possible to buy a similar domain with different extension because it causes legal proceeding so you have to take care if domain is not copyrighted before proceed to order.

I have a domain then trxxxxxxx.com and I don't know when it expired another person snap up the name and register it and I was forced to now use trxxxxxxxx.com.ng cos the new owner was trying to collect $2k for the domain name.

I don't have a domain, but what I know is that when the domain you are using expires you will be giving time to renew it after which another person can take it up if you did not renew

I don't I have ever been charged or forced to Change my domain name due to some factors. The best I do for myself is that I buy domain name that won't give me any issue during or after registration

This has never happened to me, and with the regulations available I do not think anyone or anything can ever make me to forcefully change my domain name.

Even aleven though I'm a domainer, I actually have now no longer been compelled to extrade my area name. However, I actually have visible human beings who've been denied to buy a few area much like the Covid 19 revel in Domain

I did once change the domain name for my personal website, however, I was not forced to change the domain name. I changed name because I cam up with a better name. I cannot imagine anyone being forced to change domain name.

I have never been forced the change my domain name before and with the rules and guidelines that are being giving I don't think anybody can bully me up to that extent.

I also do not think it is possible at all even if the domain name is one that has been trademarked. No one can force individuals to change their domain names.

I have never been forced to change a domain name in the past because I checked the minimum I register for my website and client. Thoigh this has happened to a friend of mine in the past.

It has not happened to me personally but I have seen some what it have happened to somebody else was about to sue him to court for using a similar domain for his business which forced the person to change his domain name to another domain

I have never been forced to take down my domain for any reason. If you will have to say leave your domain, then I don't think anyone can force you from taking it down but rather negotiate the domain with you at a price

I don't have a domain but if I have I can't never be forced to take my domain for ant reason, because i believe that when my domain expire I can renew it without been force.

I don't have a domain to even begin with but I have a friend who was once forced to change his just so peace would reign as his name was Abit similar to another person's own.

I have never bought a domain name before. I only opens a free blog from blogspot and I do use there free subdomain name. But there have been times that I changed the name to something else

This questions will be answer best on experience and only those that have domain can help us telll us more about such situation.

I don't have a domain of my own to begin with. But then I didn't even realize that it was a possibility. The only way I would be forced to change my domain name is if it becomes life-threatening.

Not at all I have not come across such and I believe such kind of cases are very minimal that's to say it's not that rampant compare to scammers cases.
