As opposed to the popular belief that blogging is easy, embarking on a journey as a blogger demands a versatile skill set. The ability to write is a fundamental skill required for blogging, but you also need more skills.

Web Design: Blogging means you create and run a site. Therefore, familiarize yourself with web design and development you cannot devote yourself to programming, you can build skills with content management systems.

Marketing: Your blog becomes successful only when you can market your content effectively to boost traffic and visibility.

SEO (Search Engine Optimization): Organic traffic is important, which can be built only through SEO.

Graphic Designing: Visual appeal plays a significant role in blog engagement. Develop graphic design skills to create compelling images and enhance your content's aesthetics.

I could not agree more. As an SEO, I would like to emphasize the importance of the practice. SEO is an art and now an expanding science. Long gone are the days when keyword stuffing could land you a top place on the SERPS. Today bloggers must adapt to changing trends and standards that evolve faster than universities can update their curriculum.

Many new AI-powered software tools have enabled our writing process so that we conveniently bypass SEO protocols. On-page SEO has become automatic with most software completing 80% of the tasks. This has produced both positive and negative impacts.

Positive Impact

Starting here is reason enough to downplay that any newbie can have high-end on-page optimization with no new skills required. It is like a sports car - from zero to sixty in five seconds. However, this software does not teach the newbie and he becomes dependent on the AI. After a certain point, his website is just as competitive as every other newbie with the app.

They silently kill each other.

Negative Impact
I started an SEO gig last year for a whisky based website. It was relatively new and the owner wanted to get on the front page. Within a week we were ranking within 9 -13. By the month's end, we scored top five. Sadly, it has become easier to outbid and outperform AI SEO. Unknowingly, the biggest contributing factor is the software itself.

The more popular the software, the more similar the optimization. So, even if you wish to use an AI SEO tool, stick with the human factor. There is only one you. You are competitive.
