Emulation in gaming, are you cool with it?

I love emulation, because it allows you to play retro games you own physically, without having to hook up an old console that may or may not work anymore. Who here like emulation? Are you okay with emulation for gaming? I think it keeps retro games alive, because lets face it, retro games are still alive because of preservation. Anyway, do you guys emulate your games?
