When purchasing domains do you only go for the one year deal or do you buy for more than year?

When I buy my first domain, I will consider buying for at least 5 years provided I have funds. I heat that if you buy domains for 5 years you can get discounts. However, I don't know if this is actually true.

The longest domain name I have ever owned uses 18 letters. However, when I registered this domain, I was really happy to get a dot com for my chosen name because the domain uses highly searched keywords.

I buy domains with the hope to resell at a higher price. So I only pay for a year, hopefully I would market and sell it before it is due for another renewal.

When I'm purchasing or shopping for the domain I want to register on domain registers, i go for more than one year plan. This enables me focus on what I should be doing with the domain without the worry of it expiring soon

When purchasing a domain name what I normally go for is the one-year deal because it is more basic and I can easily renew it if I haven't sold all the domain before that one year.

The year a domain name has been registered is also an important factor to be considered when registering a domain. This tells a lot on the value of the domain name. A domain name that has being in existence for a long time carries more value than the one that has just been registered.

As a beginner in the webmastering field, it should be advisable to try the one year domain subscription duration of one year. When the experience have grown higher, their is every possibility to upgrade to lengthy duration domain.

I try to keep my expenses minimum when buying domain or hosting, Therefore, I pay only for a year. Sometimes you can get discounts if you pay for longer years, but you will have to pay more, which I do not like.

What is Domain Registration Length in SEO? Domain Registration Length means for the number of year's, the domain renewal amount paid in advance to the Registrar, You can pay for at least 1 year & maximum 10 years. For every domain bought, you have to pay a yearly renewal amount.

That's a good strategy. You might save money in total when you register for more than one year, but you initial cost will be much higher of you register for more than one year

I have always paid for one year registration and renew my domains every year. By choosing one year registration over multiple years registration, I save my initial cost.

I chose to register my domain for a one-year period because I just wanted to try blogging. I acquired the domain from a web hosting reseller and it coincides with my basic hosting plan. The company did not offer discounts for subscribing beyond one year which was just fine because I did not plan to pay more. Namecheap sells some cheap domains for 5 years minimum subscription and I might try it once I gain enough knowledge to run a forum or start a blog for monetization.
