Domain Extensions You Can't Understand

The South African extension .co.za comes from some Afrikaner word for South Africa. The extension .de stands for Deutschland which is what Germans call their country. What are some other ones you don't understand?

Some of them are a bit confusing as many areas are not commonly known about and that is where it can get confusing.

The extension can't be determinative itself because .co.za could even provide international services and international payment methods for local residents outside the country.

Most of the domain extensions have meaning, not just country or geographical domains, even other domains have certain meaning attached with time. As per my knowledge there are very few extensions that do not make any sense. Domain extensions do not have any SEO value, it helps in branding though.
