You know when you run a forum and have flair? Like badges here at Bizdustry for example. Or the username colors and animations. I think adding these options to your forum adds a lot of fun things for users to take part in. Not only that, but it pushes users to be more active as they see this flair and it may interest them too. THey see others doing it, so they take part in it too.
