Does Name Influence Your Life Experiences?

I was brought in a culture where they say name have tremendous influence in your life. The name given at your birth will influence you all through the life. That's why the ancient books have rules fore choosing the right names. Do you really think names can influence your life experience?

Sometimes. If you are given a particularly embarrassing or odd name for instance because you will get ridiculed. But you can also have a fairly 'normal' name and not like it, consequently you will not be comfortable with it.

I hate my birthname so I changed it.

A long time ago, I read a study paper that concluded that most successful people have names that appear on the top of alphabetical order compared to the names in the lower alphabetical order.
