Does Facebook marketing only for for certain niches?

I have a Facebook fan page for my fan blog (which is dedicated to a certain pop girl group) and it is getting a lot of activity since I post pictures and videos daily. I am not sure if I should make a fan page for my skincare forum because I don't see how this would help. Same thing with webmaster forums. What is the point of making a Facebook page for a webmaster or promotion forum? I believe Facebook marketing only works for certain niches. Do you agree?

I agree with you on that one. However, you could probably slip in a post about your forum on your pop fan page or even right "Sponsored by" with a link to your site on one of the picture descriptions.
