Does domain tld have any effect on SEO?
Will the domain line cool. news get the same results as coolnews .com?

They do somewhat as far as I found. If you want to do local SEO then for sure a country domain is way better than a generic .com . Now how much that affects your SEO that depends on your site really. If it's a news site, then yeah it would as news are usually localized, while if it's like a information blog, I don't think that's the main focus for SEO on that site.
 
Your domain extension has no effect on your search results ranking. The only exception is country-code top-level domains, such as .com, .au, .br. These domain extensions will significantly affect your website's ranking on a geographical search level. If your website provides localized services such as real estate or customer service, it's better to get a domain based on your country code to get better visibility in your region.
 
some tld are valued more than others, for instance, dot gov domains and dot edu domains get more value that dot com o even dot net, however, rest of the domains are treated in a similar matter, therefore, tld does not affect SEO.

This is for simple reason you find next to name premium domain name as it is not regular one then the pricing will not be the same as buying any domain name as simple as that.
