Do you use the mood feature on your forum?

I have been on several forum which makes use of the mood feature where members can choose the kind of mood that's going to be displayed on their profile. Do you find it interesting and something that's good to have in a forum? Would you be open to using such feature in your own community given the chance to do so?

I have the option enabled, but I don't think most people use it. I used to have mood emoticons when you started a topic, but no one really used them so I deleted them from my database.

I have been on multiple forums where the mood feature was available. However, I do not remember using this feature. I am always concerned with adding value to the discussion rather than playing forum games and using features like showing your mood. I have not enabled this feature on my forum. Using multiple add ons will make your site slow, therefore, I usually avoid unnecessary add ons.

It's $20 USD on Xenforo and that sort of cost doesn't justify itself for me for just having an icon of a mood. But if it was free I would use it.

I'm very sure that this is one of the reason why most people who are making use of Xenforo softwares don't usually care about subscribing to this feature because it is quite expensive for what it is going to add to the forum. If it was something around $5, I'm sure most people will be using it.

It is one of the best ways to add a sort of graphic view upgrade on your platform because members can actually use the feature to express how they feel at any particular point in time when they are making use of your community. I really love using them all the time.
