Do you use Memcached without SASL? What do you think about using Memcached with SASL?

No, but I use Redis with its password feature. Pretty much the same.

I see no use case for Memcached since Redis was released.

Not at all. I am usually very careful with my security protocols. I can never use a Memcached without SASL, i have seen some servers being hacked for overlooking this.
