What kind of software do you use for your website, free or paid? I am running blogs, forums, and online stores and one of my websites uses premium software. I use WordPress for blogs, woocommerce for online stores, and MyBB and SMF for forums. I try to avoid using paid software because I want to keep website running cost low.

It depends on your specific requirements. Additionally, while free software can be a good starting point, paid options often offer more advanced features, dedicated support, and greater flexibility for customization.

Paid, mainly because free is very vulnerable in terms of security and support. Most free services don't help you if someone hacks into your site or does anything else. A paid for service will help more, and probably provide more security.

I would definitely try out a software before purchasing it. I think that many companies understand this thing and this is why they offer free trials before people could purchase premium products and software. So, I would initially like to try out a software before purchasing it.

A lot of software gives you a demo version before you can purchase it. Therefore, you do not have to worry about the software you are going to buy. Some software even give you 1-2 weeks of trial version.

I think that certain features are still not available in the trail mode. This depends on the kind of software you tend to use in the first place. Certain software companies offer full features for a limited time, though.

The kind of forum software that someone makes use of is always going to be determined by the budget the person have when it comes to running a new forum. If it's something that is enough to pay for a forum software, it is more interesting because paid forum software are always better.

I mostly use free software for my website like WordPress. I know a little bit of web development so I try to make my own themes and plugins whenever possible. But one should go for paid software if they can afford and the software is worth the price as it can save time and effort in the long run.

I started out with free software because firstly I was a kid lol.. I eventually did open a forum on Xenforo and it was amazing. I for sure as an adult if I was to open another forum would use a paid software because you get so many abilities while on free software it's not as easy to gain all the same abilities.

I believe that it is a very smart thing that you did as a kid having to start out with using free forum software because you are simply just trying to test out something that you've heard about and probably as a hobby. There is no need for you to start spending money on such projects when you don't even have any big plans on it yet.
