If not, why not..... simple humor can go a long ways towards "calming the beast" when they can't find what they want/need.

I've modified the template to allow search directly from the error page now.
I also kicked the "wabbit" reference to the curb... Marvin says you can search here now. All you have to do is click on him.

That's a good idea to enable search. Error pages might piss someone off enough to make them click out of the site because they expected something specific. Encouraging search could help curb their stress about it. I wonder if putting a search box in might be ideal?

Love it!! LOL

I was actually thinking of your site in context of this 404 error. I was brainstorming like a telescope, and a message like "Oops, we're too busy searching for the stars."

Oh, I've found several other images... but the one I chose is the most colorful and seems to go well with the backgrounds of the different styles since it's by an add-on and you can (with some work) control what image gets displayed with what style, but it's easier just to have one that fits all.

I've found other images I've that I am thinking of playing with, but they are "pay me" in nature... and this one for some reason struck my fancy.

Well, decided to go ahead and "pay them" as I found something more targeted towards my niche and kind of liked.
Shutterstock is $31 for two image downloads within a year... now need to find another image that I want to use for something to get my moneys worth.

Looking good! Might as well get another image for another error page!
I'm looking at one other to play with... but I'll have to edit it in a photo editing software to add the text...not a big deal, just another layer on top of the initial image.

Did you get the PSDs with the purchase?

EPS.
They may have some that are in PSD format.... but this one wasn't. Wasn't hard to edit in Gimp honestly.

Was using Ozzy's Google search add-on to refer folks to for search, since at the time I was only using mySQL search. Broke down and installed ElasticSearch and got the ES add-on from XF to allow 2 letter native searches... and it works well.
